Snack company Calbee developed an edible sleep aid strip called Nyumin that's designed to dissolve in the mouth and improve the quality of one's sleep. Nyumin is part of Calbee's vision for the future of food, Next Calbee, which supports the use of natural compounds. With this orange-scented strip, Calbee taps into the power of crocetin, an ingredient found in crocus and gardenia flowers, that's useful for enhancing sleep and decreasing fatigue.

In the form of a dissolvable strip, the sleep aid has the potential to be consumed by people of all ages, especially those who struggle to take sleep supplements in the form of capsules or tablets. The product has been in the works from Calbee Future Labo for years, due to the demand for sleep solutions.
