Nutrition for Growth is a conference that brings together a variety of actors in order to address the potential for business and the private sector's ability to tackle issues of hunger, malnutrition and undernutrition. Interestingly enough, the event was co-hosted in part by The Department for International Development (DFID), the Brazilian government and The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). The conference took place recently, earlier this June on Saturday, June 8 2013.
"Since UK Prime Minister Cameron pushed for a multi-stakeholder approach to tackling malnutrition at the Olympic Hunger Event he co-hosted with the Government of Brazil last year, actors from across the public and private sectors have been working hard to build a platform and programs to link business, civil society and government into a global nutrition movement focused on action and impact," wrote Matt Freeman on a blog post for Business Fights Poverty on the event.
