American Apparel's Nude Clothing Range Comes in Nine Shades

American Apparel launches a nude clothing collection that is "a celebration of authentic diverse representation." The fashion capsule boasts an array of essentials in nine different shades. To advertise its offering, the US-based label issued a casting call in LA, selecting an inclusive representation of skin tones to mark a full spectrum of color. The campaign highlights that "there is no such thing as neutral."

In addition to the inclusive nude clothing range, American Apparel makes it possible for consumers to "meet" the models. On its blog, the fashion company creates a feature where each participant is recognized through a photograph and a quote. This elevates the marketing project, giving it a diverse range of skin tones, as well as of individual identities and perspectives.
