NOMENKLATURA STUDIO Draws Inspiration from an Artist's Pet for FW2020
New Jersey-based fashion brand NOMENKLATURA STUDIO is led by designer Alexandre Plokhov and recently, the brand's Fall/Winter 2020 collection was unveiled. The new capsule features refined tailoring elements along with militaristic design language.
The capsule draws inspiration from Babou, who was the pet ocelot of artist Salvador Dali -- Babou was gifted to Dali by the president of Colombia. The feline is referenced through a plethora of design accents including the special jacquard textiles, pins, intricate belt buckle designs, and custom silk twill. The item that hits the spotlight in the seasonal selection is the Ocelot Jacquard Coat that features trim cuts, raglan sleeves, leather collar, pocket welts, and button tab enclosure.
