The Nike Air Mag is Finally Real and It Supports Parkinson's Research

Back to the Future fans have been hoping for a real version of the Nike Air Mag ever since the futuristic hoverboard-riding sneakers appeared in a cult classic film. Now, the Nike Air Mag is finally a real shoe.

The first-ever pair of real Nike Air Mags was presented today to Michael J. Fox, since Fox played protagonist Marty McFly in the Back to the Future series. The beloved actor has made his struggle with Parkinson's Disease public knowledge, and runs an organization to fund research for a cure. The Nike Air Mag shoes gifted to the inspiring actor were accompanied by a letter, in which Nike pledged proceeds from future pairs of Nike Air Mags to Parkinson's Research.

Nike Air Mag sneakers will be made available to the general public in 2016, but in the meantime, everyone can enjoy this inspiring moment.
