The challenge is straight forward: how do you get children to read the newspaper? In today’s world of electronics, a child may grow up never looking at a newspaper. The video shows this scenario as a father sits on the couch reading the paper beside his son who is playing a game on his iPhone.
The problem is newspapers aren’t made for children to read and can be difficult for them to get interested in. To address this problem, Tokyo Newspaper developed a newspaper app that translates news into easy to digest pieces for kids and includes cartoon character commentary.
