Newly Renovated Old Architecture

Lenka Míková Architekti Renovated an Apartment from the 1920s

'Lenka Míková Architekti' found an opportunity to transform an old apartment building from the 1920s into a beautiful piece of newly renovated architecture. The apartment, located in Prague, has been transformed into a functionalist work of minimalism. Many of the features in this renovated apartment, titled '077 Residence,' are built into the walls directly. The fireplace, closets, doors, shelves, bathroom furniture, and even some desks are built directly into the walls of the apartment, offering a completely minimalist look.

Lenka Míková Architekti note that the apartment has been split into three 'zones' which are the social, private, and threshold zones. The social zone is the living room where guests would meet, and it is styled in a calming way full of homely, minimalist designs. The threshold zone is the hallways and bathrooms that join the social and private zones together, and the private zone is the set of bedrooms that hold beds and storage accented by a lot of natural lighting for intimate connections.
