Jaywalker is a new cocktail bar and event space opened by New York Distilling Company inside its Bushwick distillery, launching on 11 June and showcasing cocktails built around the company’s spirits portfolio, including Jaywalk Rye. Positioned as an ode to New York’s artists and rebels, the venue offers approachable riffs on classic drinks such as the Manhattan and Martini, while a cocktail programme developed by Jamie Gordon draws inspiration from familiar city touchpoints including flower shops, bodegas and local markets.
Designed by creative agency Contagious, the 3,000-square-foot space combines industrial Brooklyn aesthetics, oversized murals and a state-of-the-art sound system with food from Kings Co Imperial. In addition to cocktails, Jaywalker offers guided tastings and immersive blending experiences that deepen guests’ connection to the distillery’s products and production story.
For consumers, Jaywalker transforms a working distillery into an accessible hospitality destination where visitors can explore spirits through curated drinks and hands-on experiences. The concept reflects a broader trend toward experiential beverage venues that combine craft production, entertainment and storytelling to build deeper engagement with brands.
