California-based gaming company Gamaya has released a brand new video game that allows players to delve into the Hindu epic Ramayana. What makes this game so unique is the fact that it links together the virtual and physical worlds by taking advantage of both mobile gaming technology as well as 3D-printing methods.

This new mobile game requires the use of a specific hardware platform as well as 3D-printed toys designed by the company. The toys depict a wide variety of characters from Ramayana including the lord Rama, the demon Ravana and the monkey-deity Hanuman. Characters can be switched mid-game, with pertinent data stored within the device itself.

Gamaya has truly broken new ground with this game, which is truly unique in the manner in which it links the physical and tangible worlds.
