Google is currently rolling out its new Android auto platform, which highlights Google Assistant. The updated in-car platform will allow more instances for drivers to communicate with Google Assistant. Other new Assistant features include the ability to tap and receive calendar or weather information. Google also highlights its changes to Android Auto to a Google Assistant driving mode. Other in-car Assistant features include voice-activated calling, messaging or reading notifications.
The new Android Auto platform will also include enhanced navigation. The navigation bar is now located on the lower portion of the screen and allows users to access other apps while helping users access entertainment apps like Spotify. Android Auto also has a new app launcher which will let users access more apps quicker -- with commonly accessed apps being placed on the top row.
