Carhartt WIP joins forces with Neu!, a German post-punk and electronic band to deliver a collection of goods for Spring/Summer 2018. The band first came together in the early 70s, but went their own separate ways about a decade later. During the time of the band's existence, there was a lack of success in terms of mainstream commercialization. Although this was the matter, Neu! is credited for paving the path for what we understand to be post-punk music, inspiring well known artists such as Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and Thom Yorke.
The new collaborative collection is comprised of t-shirts, overalls, a tote bag, and socks that wear branding details from the label and the band. The color palette takes on hues of black, white, and pink with some orange detailing. The standout item in the range are the white overalls, designed to be similar to the pair that Neu!'s drummer Klaus Dinger use to wear. In addition to the new capsule, Carhartt WIP taps to Grönland Records to produce 1000 copies of the band's SUPER/NEUSCHNEE" "7" musical single, exclusively available at select retail locations.
