Revived Queer Fashion Series

Netflix's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is a Reboot of the Original

Though the original series has been off the air for a decade, Netflix's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy reboot is perhaps more timely now than it was during its seminal run in the early 2000s. The remake, which will be released as a run of eight episodes, maintains the original premise (i.e. five queer men do a thorough makeover of a straight man) while also adding a new twist to appeal to the current political climate.

Fans of the original series will of course remember that the show took place in New York City. Netflix's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is looking to expand that narrow geographic scope, instead sending a new "Fab Five" to Republican states in the US. According to Netflix's description, the group is slated to "turn the red states pink."
