Netflix Aquired StoryBots, the Educational Animation Brand

In an effort to better educate its younger demographic, Netflix acquired StoryBots -- an educational animation brand.

StoryBots takes a creative approach to education, offering preschool-aged children safe and informative programming that leverages a variety of mediums, including 3D, 2D, claymation, stop motion and live action. StoryBots answers questions that cover a variety of topics, and can range from science to life and culture. To enhance engagement among parents, StoryBots invites well-known guests to the show to help answer questions. Past guests have included Snoop Dogg, Edward Norton, Whoopi Goldberg and Wanda Sykes.

Netflix's new deal with StoryBots includes original content, as well as the question-answering show that popularized it. The partnership is set to launch on the streaming platform in the fall.
