The Nendo-Maruni Cord Chair Does Pull Its Weight

I’ve always been slightly dubious of anything that looks as though it won’t support—for good reason, I would think—and so the Nendo-Maruni Cord Chair did not sit well with me when I first took it in. Very flimsy looking, I feel that if I were to actually use it as a chair, I would crush it.

Yet, as one of the images demonstrates, the Nendo-Maruni Cord chair is clearly up to the task of holding my weight. Steel-enforced and a maple exterior, it is definitely sturdier than it appears. Inspired by the electrical cord, the metal and maple combination mimics the idea of encasement.
