A new national football stadium for Kosovo's team is planned to be built about 12 miles from the capital of the country. Located in the city of Drenas, the plan for the arena is proposed by Istanbul-based studio Tabanlioglu Architects.
The structure is quite magnanimous, having a capacity of 30,000. A great focus for the newly proposed national football stadium is the use of space as a means to motivate and inspire communication. In the words of Murat Tabanlioglu of Tabanlioglu Architects, "the structure will be a bridge for people, uniting them through the joy of sports." This is an extremely important feature, given the recent history of Kosovo which was ravaged by a Civil War.
