This Interactive Installation Plays Music When it is Touched

This musical playground was designed to create a unique performance piece that combines musical composition with choreography.
Titled the 'Polyphonic Playground,' this installation was created in a collaboration between Studio Wayne McGregor, Studio PRK and the choreographer Eleesha Drennan. The piece makes music when people touch its various surfaces and swing on it and its features are shown through a choreographed interactive dance. Once the dance is complete, visitors are able to interact with the musical playground installation on their own terms -- making music and sounds through the playground's sensory features.
This artistic project combines technology, dance and design to create a comprehensive installation that enables viewers to create their own unique performance.
