Popular music streaming platform, Spotify, recently announced the launch of a newly redesigned desktop app that's aligned with its mobile app interface. The update includes a revamped UI, downloads, and improved playlist curation.
Notably, the update will allow users to download songs directly to their desktop, a feature that was primarily dedicated to the app to allow users to listen to music regardless of Wifi or Internet connectivity. The new feature will improve the user desktop experience. In addition, the playlist creation experience has been improved. From the desktop platform, users can now "drag and drop songs, or even find new tracks directly through the embedded search bar in the playlist view." The update also showcases the listener's top artists and tracks on the profile page and use filters such as most relevant, recently played, and recently added.
