'Music is Medicine' Supports Creative Therapies for Children

This Vanity Project Whitney pullover works toward Music is Medicine, which is a non-profit organization that is essentially what it sounds like. It uses music in order to fund pediatrics programs. At the same time, the Baltimore-based project also offers music therapy programs because after all, they started as a group organizing workshops at Sinai Hospital for limb-lengthening children patients.

The programs are run by youth and consist of two in particular: Donate a Song Project and Music 4 Change Campaign. The first encourages U.S. artists to write a piece using a patient as the motivation, which then goes toward an album-length piece that is sold in order to raise money for charities. The second involves musicians leading community programs in hospitals.
