Each year, a limited edition packaging for Blossa's mulled wine is designed after a different destination in the world. This time around, the newly released 2013 edition of the bottle designed by the Scandinavian Design Group takes inspiration from the city of Dalarna, Sweden.
In Sweden, mulled wine or "glögg" is a drink that's typically consumed around the Christmas season, made from a mixture of mulled spices and raisins. The limited edition wine bottles are decorated with the kind of painterly flourishes that are used to decorate carved wooden Dala horses and the distinctive color choices on the bottles of glögg are deeply connected to the area, featuring the iconic red Faluröd color and Dalablå blue.
