M&S and Yeyasso Partnered to Support Cocoa Farmers

— February 28, 2026 — Business
M&S and Yeyasso announced a partnership that will see the retailer supporting the cooperative in Côte d'Ivoire with cocoa farmer support in the spotlight.

The initiative will see additional payment provided directly to farmers as part of Fairtrade Premium support alongside a community scheme focused on building schools, funding solar water pump installations and more. The partnership will also see Marks & Spencer (M&S) committing to a financial investment spread out over two years to help further improve the livelihood of farmers and their communities. The initiative will be communicated to consumers in the UK via the M&S Choc Marks bars that will feature female farmer Diomandé Léontine on the interior of the packaging to showcase producers.

Head of Sustainability at M&S Foods Lucinda Langton spoke on the partnership with Yeyasso saying, "At M&S we believe that every person in our supply chain should be paid fairly; cocoa farmers are under pressure to adapt to changing environments and growing demand for exceptional quality. That’s why we are increasing our commitment to fair and ethical sourcing with this investment with the Yeyasso cooperative."
