Some will recognize the product behind these whimsical designs for Movement on the Ground. The charity is working with Modus Furniture to create charming products that can be auctioned off to raise money for the refugee crisis in Europe.
What begins as Michael Sodeau's recycled cork Casper Stool is transformed by one of several talented designers into imaginative creations. Out of the little seat, one might get a planter, a smiling face or a clown, and you can actually see how the refugee theme has been represented in some of these chairs, wrapped in foil blankets or protected with life buoy rings. Every version of the 'Who's Casper?' stools is delightfully decorative, and interested buyers will be bidding on a stool with no knowledge of its particular creator.
