A new mountain housing estate is erected in the town of Bludenz, located in the Austrian Alps. The objective of this project was to create a uniform dwelling that is well connected and pedestrian-friendly. There is a total of eight timber buildings that convey minimalist and contemporary aesthetic. Each structure differs ever so slightly in terms of alignment and size.
The Maierhof mountain housing estate is interconnected by a pedestrian walkway and a multitude of green spaces in between – Gruber + Haumer was the practice in charge of landscaping architecture. As a result, the timber buildings do not only provide the town with 67 apartments but they also boast a highly socialized network.
