In an effort to combat climate change, Greenpeace is issuing business cards that double as a metro pass for the Moscow subway. This initiative endeavors to persuade people to take public transport instead of driving cars. Each EcoCard counts as 60 tickets and results in reducing your carbon footprint by 85 grams. The innovative cards can be reloaded by any denomination.
The EcoCard takes on air pollution, one of Greenpeace's most pressing issues. In addition to encouraging individuals, the organization also hopes companies will consider this measure for their staff. Companies can register for the cards by sending an email to Greenpeace.
While the organization isn't politically affiliated, the Moscow subway would benefit from donations to the organization as they attempt to battle global warming.
