Oreo Modernizes the Traditional Mooncake for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Delicious mooncake cookies are offered by global sweets company Oreo ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Asia that is to be celebrated on September 24th this year. Available in supermarkets in Thailand, Oreo adds to the festivities with reinterpreted mooncake cookies.

To give a bit of background, the Mid-Autumn Festival is dedicated to honoring the full moon. As a result, mooncakes — a traditional Chinese bakery product, is an integral part of the celebration. The dessert is usually filled with densely textured lotus seed paste and is enjoyed with tea from the region.

The mooncake cookies creation by Oreo is available in four flavors that substitute the traditional filling of the dessert, including Brownie Chocolate, Custard Pineapple, Double Chocolate with Milk and Strawberry Jam.
