The Ducati Monster 821 Revamps Iconic Design with New Features

Ducati first started the naked sport-bike trend in 1993 with the original monster, but the brand has recently decided to improve on its legacy with the newly released 2018 Monster 821. Some of the upgrades granted to the Monster 821 are borrowed from the Monster 1200 but there are some features exclusive to the new bike. The exhaust and swing-arm were two main points of focus and were done to make the bike even lighter.

In addition to a redesigned swing-arm and exhaust, the Monster 821 also features a new fuel tank. Taking inspiration from the original Monster, this new fuel tank represents the most iconic silhouette on the bike but was reinterpreted to be more modern. This resulted in a "tauter" design that is more comfortable to grip with your knees.
