Modus Operandi is a company based in Florida and Melbourne that has recently created a Facebook-like social network that will help keep track of terrorists. Although not meant to be used by terrorists--that would simply be strange--it will be updated by American intelligence analysts who are working in the field in order to keep their supervisors updated while also keeping tabs on bad guys.
By using social network-like technology, Modus Operandi keeps in mind that many of these analysts are older teens used to such platforms. Eric Little says, “The power of this is that I’m using a simple user front-end to exchange data in real time. This is powerful if you think about how intelligence actually works. What were really doing is allowing people to find patterns in their data.”
