A new modular UAV has been designed by Quantum Systems as a solution for professionals that will provide unparalleled access to aerial environments on their own terms. Created by the Germany-based company with a two-in-one design, the drone has two configuration options that include the Vector and the Scorpion, which look like a small plane and helicopter, respectively.
The drone can reach a top speed of 56mph when in Vector mode, while Scorpion mode will top out at 34mph, which makes the system ideal for a wide range of uses. The battery packs will provide 45 minutes of flight time per charge and are heated to withstand temperatures as low as four degree Fahrenheit.
The modular UAV from Quantum Systems can be flown autonomously or via remote and will relay video footage to the operator in an AES-encrypted format to ensure optimal security.
