Cellfire is a new opt-in service that lets you get coupons via mobile phone. So far, 200 marketers have signed on, so there's plenty of bargains out there. You'll have to give them a few details (year you were born, your zipcode) but the service assures your phone number won't be shared with any companies sending your info.

"You cash in simply by showing the your “cellphone screen â€" where the coupons are displayed â€" to a cashier at checkout” (eventually it will be possible to email the coupon from the phone to the cash register)."

Implications - Though advertising agencies have yet to gain full understanding of the mobile as a medium, they do recognize its potential as per innovations like Cellfire.
