After years of showing off its original holographic headset, Microsoft is now introducing the second-generation HoloLens in the form of the Microsoft HoloLens 2. This next-gen headset offers even more immersion than the first version, as it features more than double the field of view to truly help people dive into mixed-reality experiences.
The HoloLens 2 also includes hand and eye tracking, as well as the ability to interact naturally with the headset in other ways with voice commands. As such, users are able to touch, grasp and move holograms in intuitive ways, and enjoy the freedom to do so without being tethered to wires or cumbersome packs.
The applications for the HoloLens 2 are virtually endless in the design, architecture, education and healthcare industries and beyond.
