German start-up Klang2 (pronounced Klangquadrat) is introducing a modern take on traditional memory games with wooden sound squares equipped with NFC chips that can be used with a smartphone and a companion app. The game challenges players to put their minds to work by matching music clips, notes and songs, as well as animal sounds and place names. Thanks to the simplicity of the game, there's the potential for hundreds of different variations of the game to be played.
As well as offering entertainment and a fun way for people to put their memory to the test, Klang2 helps players develop a variety of skills, including concentration, auditory perception and awareness, plus it helps to strengthen the relationship between auditory and spatial learning.
