Designer-Led Social Media Challenges

Alexander McQueen Launched the McQueen Creators Challenge

In an effort to boost creativity, designer Alexander McQueen launched McQueen Creators -- a weekly challenge positioned to ease quarantine-induced boredom amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

This challenge takes place on the label's social media channels, and features different prompts of themes each week. This week, individuals were tasked with drawing their own iteration of Sarah Burton‘s Fall/Winter 2019 'roses' dress -- a gorgeous satin gown that resembles the aforementioned flower. Winners of the weekly challenge will have the opportunity to have their work featured on Alexander McQueen's Instagram page, which has over 9 million followers. To submit, social media users must use the #McQueenCreators hashtag.

According to the label, future challenges will incorporate embroidery and 3D creations.
