The Maxdoor by Nódesign, a Brazilian design firm, is an ultra-modern take on the door for luxury loft apartments. Not only does it integrate sophisticated security touch-sensor lock technologies, but it looks phenomenal too. The apartments are marked by red circles which displays the suite units, and each has its own integrated mailbox.
Implications - Technological advancements in security are frequently found in banks, government buildings and other high-profile places, but the mass adoption of technology in the everyday consumer's life has given rise to high-tech home innovations for luxury condo dwellers that eschew standard lock-and-key closures in favor of biometric scanners, touch-sensitive locks and other features first seen in sci-fi movies.
