Mathia Bengtsson's Paper Chair is a Confusing Delight

Mathia Bengtsson’s paper chair may looked inspired by the majestic creature the zebra, but it truly looks like a neat optical illusion. Using digital art to create this optical illusion look, it was also handcrafted by the artist. Mathia Bengtsson put the chair together by gluing recycled paper material together to create the chair structure without the aid of traditional seating tools.

Aside from the neat technique used to build it and the use of recycled materials, the chair is an amusing optical illusion to behold. I only hope that such a loopy design doesn’t create too much confusion and that people can still manage to stick their butts into it.
