The Masato Seto 'Picnic' Series is a Walk in the Park

Yogi Bear is nowhere to be found in these intimate and romantic Masato Seto 'Picnic' photographs, which capture couples embracing in the great outdoors. The Tokyo-based Thai photographer specializes in photographing people in their natural states without being told how to pose or act for the camera, and that is exactly what is found in this series.

Whether they're holding each other in the grass or lounging on a quilt, all of the couples in the 'Picnic' photos appear completely comfortable in front of the camera -- something that all artists working in realism strive for. There are elements of voyeurism in the photos, but not enough to make the viewer uneasy -- the finished product is ultimately a tribute to love and intimacy. My favorite shot adds a splash of humor to the mix, as it shows a girl taking a cell phone picture with her boyfriend.

If you hadn't heard of this incredible photographer until now, after seeing the Masato Seto 'Picnic' series I'm sure you'll want to check out more of his work. It has definitely turned me into a huge fan, and I can't wait for more from this insightful artist.
