Marshmallow Laser Feast has created 'In the Eyes of the Animal,' a virtual reality experience that immerses people in nature, enhancing the sights and sounds of the forest. Mimicking the experience an animal has, these virtual reality helmets use binauraul sound design to make it sound like you are a small animal.
The visual effects were created with 360-degree drone filming as well as CT scanning and LiDAR, which detects things visually using the amount of distance between objects. These effects allow humans to see things the way animals would, using bat-like radar detection as well as X-ray-like vision.
Marshmallow Laser Feast has taken even the most natural of things into the realm of virtual reality -- bringing this forest to life thanks to technological advances.
