From Marloes ten Bhömer come these concept shoes made from a single piece of leather wrapped around a stainless steel support.

Ten Bhömer called these shoes Beigefoldedshoe and will present them on July 16 in the Spring Projects gallery in London.

Along with showcasing the shoe, Marloes ten Bhömer will be showcasing other pieces of her conceptual work.

Implications - This innovative design is taking elements from unusual places and incorporating them into footwear. The shoe incorporates geometric and origami patterns, which makes it apparent that consumers want more sculptured and structural designs. Designers should focus on incorporating math-related and architectural elements into future shoe designs to match the demand for these modern styles.
