Developed as a partnership between Microsoft and advertising giant Publicis, the Marcel AI platform will aim to better streamline the advertisement company and better connect with 80,000 global employees. Built with the help of Microsoft AI and the company's own Publicis.Sapient, the Marcel AI platform is set to provide seamless communication, collaboration and anticipation of client needs across 200 disciplines within the company in 130 countries. The hope is that this AI platform will help streamline work across the company's multiple offices and help better its final products.
The Marcel AI platform is currently being beta-tested by 100 employees of Publicis with plans to have 80% of the company connected by 2020. The AI currently functions as a mobile app for Android and iOS devices and interacts with employees via voice prompts. On a small scale, the AI learns from an employee's email, calendar and timesheet to better coordinate and perform macro tasks.
