Puerto Rican-born photographer Mara Corsino moved to Milan four years ago in order to pursue a photography career. One glance at her selected portfolio and it is clear that she made the right choice.
Mara Corsino possesses an ability to take extremely elegant photos without making them feel over the top or too glossy. Her pictures exude an air of authenticity and are clearly influenced by fashion trends of the 70s and 80s. Mara Corsino's selected portfolio doesn't explicitly tell a story, but one can be inferred from the facial expressions of the models in the series. They appear to be posh, disaffected women, rich with material wealth but bored by a lack of true excitement in their lives.
Mara Corsino's future in photography is bright. Her work was just featured in Oyster Magazine and she has international shoots in Italy and the UK lined up. Check out her work and keep an eye out for this rising star.
