The piñata is inexpensive to make and if you’re a crafter, you might even have all the supplies you need already. The gingerbread piñata is made from cardboard and taped around the edges — leaving a spot to fill it with candy. With a template, recreating this gingerbread piñata is a snap.
After the body of the gingerbread piñata has been made, the piñata really starts to take on its shape with the addition of fringed strips of brown crepe paper. To add the finishing touches to the piñata, Studio DIY used a few strips of felt and some gumballs for buttons. But just like a gingerbread cookie, the piñata could be decorated any way you like.
