The 'Jella lamp' is a newly design lighting fixture that uses a magnetic arm to emit light. It can be used a desktop lamp for those minimalists who want something that's less bulky but functional. The Jella is a super slim aluminum stick that's embedded with both LEDs and magnets. It can easily be reconfigured at any angle so you can get the steel stand the way you want to.
The use of magnets within the arm allows you to reach for extra lighting using minimal energy consumption. It was created by Lena Schlumbohm for her bachelor thesis at the FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. These magnetic lamps are just a concept, but would be useful for designers.
