Coarse Toys Creates Dolls for Boys

In a world filled with girlie Barbies and Blythes, German artist and sculptor Mark Landwehr feels so sorry for boys that he decided to help them out by his unique, cool and uber-macho dolls.

One of Mark Landwehr's characters is Noop, a strong. tough-looking guy who always wears a poker face whether he gets hurt or goes surfing. Sometimes Noop feels he is another Holden Caulfield, isolated and lonely.

Mark Landwehr also redefined pets, which shouldn’t always be adorable and cute, with Paws, a mashup creature that looks half-rabbit half-ape. Available in white, yellow, blue and purple, each Paws doll features the trademark huge creepy paw.

Perfectly polished and highly priced, all dolls are labeled under Coarse Toys, the studio Landwehr and his friends founded in Hong Kong.
