Lexus Gives Its LY 680 Yacht A Wider U.S. Audience

Lexus is bringing its LY 680 yacht to the U.S., giving buyers outside its Japan-only run a chance to shop the 68-foot vessel closer to home. Built with a hand-laid hull from Horizon Group in Taiwan, it also carries Lexus' Toyota production system, the manufacturing approach used for the LS sedan, into the shipyard.

A flybridge stretched by nearly 5 feet over the LY 650 gives owners a roomier perch for lingering above deck, while the swim platform extension makes it easier to get personal watercraft in and out of the water. The setup tilts the experience toward relaxed entertaining instead of treating every trip as pure point-to-point cruising.

The LY 680 extends Lexus’ approach to luxury beyond the road, combining the brand’s design language with a yacht built around entertaining and time spent onboard. Its larger outdoor spaces and leisure-focused layout make the vessel as much about the experience between destinations as the journey itself.
