Customizable Smartphone Controllers

The conceptual 'LumiControl game controller has been designed by Wayne Wang as a customizable solution for mobile users that will enable them to enjoy their choice of title in a fine-tuned way. The controller features an adjustable design that will fit snuggly against the sides of a smartphone to keep it in place and boasts touch-sensitive controller pads under the thumb sections that can be customized to suit in-game needs. A digital backlight under the pads provides a visual identifier for players to let them know where the buttons are, while an accompanying app allows for layout customization.

The conceptual 'LumiControl game controller addresses the increased prominence of mobile gaming and the need for aftermarket solutions that enhance the experience. The controller is the winner of the 2019 Red Dot Design Concept Award.
