Amazon has launched a new app, called Amazon Wallet, that aims to take those bulky loyalty and gift cards out of your physical wallet and store them securely and comfortably in your virtual wallet.
The app is currently in beta stage and is still being tested, and as a result doesn't have a full suite of features just yet. However, it is showing a lot of promise with the features it already has. Customers can store and access all their gift cards and loyalty vouchers on it, and no longer have to carry around physical cards in overstuffed wallets and purses.
The details of loyalty and gift cards can be scanned using the Amazon Fire Phone's camera, and the card's bar code, QR code and digital image can be pulled up.
