Michel Gondry directs this Gary Jules and Michael Andrews cover of ‘Mad World’ and uses children dressed in black on the sidewalk in order to make moving animated objects and figures from an arial point of view.
This experimentation with camera angle and perception is an innovative way to make a captivating video on a low budget. Although ‘Mad World’ is a somber song, there is no doubt that it is a cult favorite, and this music video rendition is sure to be one as well.
