'Lovely' by Catherine Konopleva Sheds Light on Pigs' Plight

'Lovely' by Catherine Konopleva is an art piece that comprises pieces of raw pork product in an effort to highlight the horror of eating pork. The collage includes organ meat, fat and muscle; underneath the image of the pig and the word "Lovely," the caption reads, "One pig was hurt while making this lovely image of a pig."

Implications - While looking through the images it is important to account for the careless killings of innocent animals that 'Lovely' by Catherine Konopleva is capturing. Many may find these graphic images horrific, but this meaty artivism is attempting to draw attention towards the senseless killing of young piglets that have barely had a chance to live.
