Dove-Loving Luxury Ads

Lara Stone in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign

For the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign the venerable Parisian fashion house is back to using a model. For the past two seasons Madonna has graced the LV ads, but fashion darling Lara Stone will help the company kick off 2010.

Steven Meisel captured Stone reclining in a grassy area complete with doves. Marie-Amélie Sauvé took on styling duties and though Stone looks relaxed and lovely even this all-star fashion team cannot make me like those hideous tasseled shoes. The Spring/Summer 2010 campaign will officially launch in February 2010.

Dove-inspired Fashion
Fashion houses are embracing natural elements in their ad campaigns by including live doves in their shoots, creating opportunities for eco-friendly and animal-friendly luxury brands.
Model Swapping
Replacing celebrity endorsers with models creates fresh and versatile campaigns that allow luxury brands the opportunity to connect with a wider range of audiences.
Anti-fashion Shoes
Shoes that defy traditional fashion standards, such as the unpopular tasseled shoes featured in the Louis Vuitton campaign, may create disruption in the luxury fashion industry by appealing to a niche market that seeks outside-the-box designs.

Who This Affects Most

Luxury Fashion
The use of models instead of celebrities and the incorporation of natural elements in luxury fashion ad campaigns presents innovation opportunities for companies to stand out in a highly competitive industry.
Animal-friendly Fashion
Fashion brands that prioritize animal welfare can capitalize on the growing trend of incorporating live animals in campaigns, creating a unique selling point for consumers who support ethical fashion.
Unconventional Footwear
The introduction of unconventional shoe designs in luxury fashion collections can attract consumers who seek unique and bold fashion statements, opening up opportunities for innovation in footwear design.
