It might be inspired by furniture design within the period spanning the 18th century to the 20th century, yet the Lollipop Bench has a distinctively contemporary look. It is easy to determine why, for the piece features an eccentric and eclectic amalgamation of various types of chairs that are discerned separately by rainbow bands of vibrant paint colors.
Andrey Budko worked with Yegor Tishin and Sergo Evseev to choose six different elaborately carved backrests that would be fused together along the continuous seat. They were arranged by height, with the tallest towards the center, and made to blend into the carved forms on either side. The laser cutting of MDF produced the Lollipop Bench, which would bring a splash of surrealism, history and delight into Estorama Park.
