Skullcandy created a new pair of headphones that feature location tracking technology developed by Tile. This marks the first time the company’s location tracking technology has been integrated into headphones, as previously it has been used in laptops, wallets, and more. The pair is available to consumers in four different styles including ‘Push Ultra’, ‘Indy Evo,’ ‘Indy Fuel’, and ‘Sesh Evo.’
Users will be able to access the last known location of the headphones, and they can use the Tile app to find them. The headphones can also be tracked when in the charging case, or as a single earbud.
The tracking capabilities could entice consumers who are prone to losing items. Especially as wireless earbuds can easily be lost individually.
