Social Platform Peek Offers a Disappearing Location Feed

Ephemeral social media platforms have gained in popularity, most notably with the prominence of Snapchat, and now evidenced by Peek and their location feed. Based in Turkey, the mobile social startup also borrows heavily from Snapchat, taking their 'Live' feature and making it their own.

The location-based service essentially offers a Live feed for every location instead of just having them for paid publications and special events. People can only see and share content if they are within a 5km radius of a place, but users can also 'peek' from afar. The focus is solely on the location feed, the geo-tagged content. No friend requests, likes or comments are involved. Although all content disappears from feeds in 24 hours, a person's posts and views are stored to their profile.
